Mediccom and the Global Foundation for Integrative Medicines (GFIM) has setup a hearing aid clinic at the Islamic Centre for the physically handicapped in Sri Lanka. Over US$10,000.00 worth of hearing aids had been fitted thanks to generous donations from Dr. Lohitha Samarawickrema CEO of Mediccom and Prof. Dr. Sir Ravi Ponniah President of the GFIM.

Minister of Housing & Common Amenities Mrs. Ferial Ashraff has supported this initiative while welcoming an additional consignment of hearing aids valued at over US$20,000 to the centre.

Dr. Lohitha Samarawickrema and Prof. Dr. Sir Ravi Ponniah have pledged to donate over US$50,000 in Visual and Braille equipment for the centre.
